Phish's WaterWheel Foundation and the Mimi Fishman Foundation have teamed up for an on-line charity auction featuring ticket packages for the Phish 2013 Fall tour. The proceeds of the auction will benefit organizations hosted by WaterWheel in each city during the tour.
Phish kicks off their 2013 Fall Tour on October 18 with a 3-night run at the Hampton Coliseum. The band then makes stops at Rochester, Glens Falls, Worcester, Hartford, and Reading, before wrapping up the tour with a 3-night Halloween run in Atlantic City. As of Sept 9, nine of the twelve shows are sold out.
In addition to the tickets packages is a very special travel package for Atlantic City which includes a room at the Tropicana in addition to show tickets.
The WaterWheel Foundation was created by Phish in 1997 to oversee the band's various charitable activities. The Mimi Fishman Foundation was established in 1999 by Miriam "Mimi" Fishman (the late mother of Phish drummer Jon Fishman) and David Shulman – and was created as a vehicle to raise funds for various charities important to Mimi.
The on-line auction is currently live with the bidding coming to close on Tuesday, September 24.
