Phish's WaterWheel Foundation Joins Forces With The Mimi Fishman Foundation

The WaterWheel Foundation and the Mimi Fishman Foundation have teamed together once again with an on-line charity auction featuring ticket packages for the first portion of the Phish 2011 Summer tour.

Phish kicks off their 2011 Summer Tour on Memorial Day weekend, with three consecutive nights (May 27, 28 & 29) at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY. Stops along the way include Cleveland, Cincinnati, Mansfield, Darien Lake and more, as well as 2-night runs in Holmdel, Columbia and Alpharetta. These shows as well as others are represented on the auction.

All proceeds raised will benefit Phishs WaterWheel Foundation. The WaterWheel Foundation was created by Phish in 1997 to oversee the bands various charitable activities. The Mimi Fishman Foundation was established in 1999 by Miriam "Mimi" Fishman (the late mother of Phish drummer Jon Fishman) and David Shulman and was created as a vehicle to raise funds for various charities important to Mimi.

The on-line auction is currently live with the bidding coming to close on Wednesday, April 27.

Mimi Fishman Foundation Announces New Charity Auction and Winter Donations

The Foundation has also just launched their 2011 winter on-line charity auction. The on-line auction is currently live with the bidding coming to close on Sunday, February 27.

The auction features posters from the 2010 Phish Fall tour as well as their New Years run. All the posters are numbered and have been signed by all members of Phish. In addition the auction features two String Cheese Incident 2011 Winter Carnival packages which include tickets to all three SCI March 2011 shows as well as a signed poster from the band.

In addition, in the past few months The Mimi Fishman Foundation issued several grants (see list below) totaling $15,250 that focus primarily on children and animals related organizations.

Mimi Fishman Foundation/WaterWheel Foundation Announces New Auction

For the 3rd time in 2010, the Mimi Fishman Foundation and the WaterWheel Foundation have teamed together with an on-line charity auction.

The on-line auction is currently live with the bidding coming to close on Wednesday, Dec 1.

The auction features many Phish items including ticket packages to both stops on its upcoming New Years tour. Signed Phish posters from 2010 Summer/Falls shows are also featured on the auction. In addition, both Yonder Mountain String Band and Umphreys McGee have donated New Years Ticket/Poster packages to the auction.

The Foundation has now donated over $390,000 since its inception 12 years ago.
