Mimi Fishman Foundation On-Line Charity Auction Features Jon Fishman X Dress

Thursday, February 9, 2012

The Mimi Fishman Foundation has launched a new on-line charity auction that features many show used drumsticks and drumheads from Phishs 2011 shows. Every stick and head is dated as well as signed by Phish drummer Jon Fishman.

The headliner of the auction is the dress Jon Fishman wore during the Sept 4, 2011 show at Dicks Sporting Good Park in Commerce City, CO. While Fishman traditionally wears (on stage) a mu-mu style dress with Os (doughnuts) on Sept 4, 2011 he surprised everyone by wearing a dress with Xs instead of Os. The dress which was only worn during this one show is featured on the auction.

Proceeds from this auction will benefit the Delta Gamma Center for Children With Visual Impairments specifically to support the newly created Mimi Fishman Adventure Camp which is coordinated by Delta Gamma and offers a safe camp environment for visually impaired children.

The on-line on-line auction is currently live with the bidding coming to close on Thursday, March 1.
