The Mimi Fishman Foundation Donates Over $15,000 To Various Charities

Over the past few months The Mimi Fishman Foundation has issued several donations to various charities & organizations. The list includes:

  • BDAS $1,000 (to assist in their Save a Sato program)
  • The Joplin Missouri School District $2,000 (to assist in their purchasing of band instruments lost in the recent tornado)
  • H.I.S.K.I.D.S. $2,100 (to fund three children with cancer to attend their camp)
  • Joplin Humane Society $2,500 (to assist in their efforts to find homes for displaced pets from the recent tornado
  • Delta Gamma Center $7,500 (to assist in their programs providing services to visually impaired children

We would like to thank everyone that continues to support the Foundations efforts.

Phishs WaterWheel Foundation Joins Forces With The Mimi Fishman Foundation Once Again

The WaterWheel Foundation and the Mimi Fishman Foundation have teamed together for the 2nd time in two months with an on-line charity auction featuring ticket packages. While the past auction was for the first portion of the Phish 2011 Summer tour, the new auction features tickets packages for the second portion of the Phish 2011 Summer tour, including Phishs own festival, Super Ball IX.

Super Ball IX will take place before the second leg of the tour begins on July 4 weekend in Watkins Glenn, NY. Phish then kicks off the 2011 Summer Tours second leg August 5th with a return visit back to the amazing Gorge Amphitheatre. The tour continues with shows at the Hollywood Bowl, Lake Tahoe, Chicago, and Denver.

All proceeds raised will benefit Phishs WaterWheel Foundation.

The on-line auction is currently live with the bidding coming to close on Wednesday, June 22.

Virginia native Keller Williams today launches an online auction at mimifishman.org/auctions to benefit his southern neighbors who were impacted by the recent tornados that tore through the region. Hosted by the Mimi Fishman Foundation, the public can bid on a Godin Guitar cherished by Keller, a Golf Cart Ride and VIP Ticket upgrade at the upcoming Summer Camp Festival, and a Keller Williams "Season Pass." 100% of the money raised will go directly to tornado victims, with Keller and each winner deciding together the specific recipient organization.

Mimi Fishman Foundation Donates to Tornado Related Charities & Launches New "Phishy" Auction

The Mimi Fishman Foundation announces two donations were issued April 29 to the Tuscaloosa, AL area to help the tornado victims. The Foundation donated $2,500 to Hands On Birminghams Disaster Relief program and $2,500 to the Greater Birmingham Humane Societys Disaster Responseprogram.

In addition the Foundation recently hosted a pair of auctions that raised over $6,600 for Rock The Earthand over $5,100 for Phishs WaterWheel Foundation.

The Foundation also just launched a new charity auction that predominantly features items donated by Phish. Two items are certain to generate quite a bit of interest, one of which includes joining Phish drummer Jon Fishman for lunch, the other is the actual black kick drumhead with Phish logo and signed by all members of Phish. In addition the auction features signed drumsticks and drumheads used during Phish 2010 shows.

Phish's WaterWheel Foundation Joins Forces With The Mimi Fishman Foundation

The WaterWheel Foundation and the Mimi Fishman Foundation have teamed together once again with an on-line charity auction featuring ticket packages for the first portion of the Phish 2011 Summer tour.

Phish kicks off their 2011 Summer Tour on Memorial Day weekend, with three consecutive nights (May 27, 28 & 29) at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY. Stops along the way include Cleveland, Cincinnati, Mansfield, Darien Lake and more, as well as 2-night runs in Holmdel, Columbia and Alpharetta. These shows as well as others are represented on the auction.

All proceeds raised will benefit Phishs WaterWheel Foundation. The WaterWheel Foundation was created by Phish in 1997 to oversee the bands various charitable activities. The Mimi Fishman Foundation was established in 1999 by Miriam "Mimi" Fishman (the late mother of Phish drummer Jon Fishman) and David Shulman and was created as a vehicle to raise funds for various charities important to Mimi.
