June 15, 2009 was memorable for the Mimi Fishman Foundation. Phish drummer Jon Fishman, Phish Security Director John Langenstein, and the Foundation's Executive Director David Shulman all paid a visit to the Delta Gamma Center for Children With Visual Impairments new facility in Richmond Heights, MO. Fishman and Langenstein were both in St. Louis on an off day of the Phish 2009 Summer Tour.

The visit began with a dedication of the music room in Mimi Fishman's honor now called the Mimi Fishman Music Therapy Room. During the visit, the trio also observed two music therapy classes for children served by the Center. Jon Fishman participated in the therapy classes including leading the children in a drum circle and song. The visit concluded with Jon Fishman handing a $20,000 donation from the Foundation to the Center. Combined with $10,000 raised for Phish's Waterwheel Foundation in late May, the Mimi Fishman Foundation in the last 10 years has now issued grants and donations totaling over $331,000.

From the bottom of our hearts we thank all that have helped make what we do possible. This includes those that bid, donate items, as well as help spread the word. Thank you!
